As the Mobile Tire Service Technician, you will work onsite in Fairbanks, AK and will primarily work in the field utilizing a service truck and will be responsible for the repair and replacement of all types of construction and OTR (Off-The-Road) equipment tires. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently in remote environments, and the ability to follow direction from the Shop Foreman and Operations Manager. You must safely operate a service vehicle and respond to on-site service calls in various weather and jobsite conditions. Our work directly contributes to advancing the social, cultural, and economic welfare of over 35,000 Alaska Natives in the Calista Region. How will you do it? Perform repair and replacement of all types of construction and OTR equipment tires, ranging from light truck tires through large loader and heavy equipment tires. Safely operate and maintain a mobile service truck. Respond to field service calls in extreme and remote weather conditions. Communicate professionally with customers and accurately document all work performed through detailed work orders. Work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision in field environments. Communicate effectively via phone or radio with customers, dispatch, and supervisors. Maintain commitment to workplace safety and exceptional customer service. Complete work orders and track inventory of tires, tools, and materials used during service calls. Perform routine inspection and maintenance of service vehicle and equipment. Maintain good housekeeping of service truck and shop area. Handle scrap (or take-off tires) and dispose of them in designated areas. Stay focused and complete tasks accurately with minimal supervision. Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Perform other duties as directed. Supervisory Responsibilities: This role does not have supervisory responsibilities. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of all aspects of tire service repairs and replacements for construction-related equipment. Strong understanding of OTR tire mounting, dismounting, repair, and service procedures. Ability to operate service trucks and associated hydraulic and tire service equipment safely. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing work priorities. Ability to work independently in remote field locations. Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations; respond promptly to customer needs and meet commitments. Ability to practice independent judgment and make sound decisions in the field. Ability to develop alternative solutions when necessary. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Ability to actively listen and proactively request clarification when needed. Ability to read and interpret specifications, manuals, and safety documentation. Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently. Ability to interact tactfully with others and react well under pressure. Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; monitor work to ensure quality. Ability to observe safety and security procedures and report unsafe conditions. Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and efficiently in compliance with DOT regulations. Who is Brice Equipment LLC looking for? Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum five (5) years of experience as a tire service technician required. Experience with OTR (Off-The-Road) tire service required. Minimum Class B CDL required. Valid state driver's license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Company's Driving Policy. Ability to pass drug, driving, and background screenings. Preferred Qualifications: Equipment maintenance/repair experience is a plus. Working Environment: The work environment characteristics described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The Mobile Tire Service Technician will regularly work outdoors in harsh and extreme weather environments and remote jobsite conditions. This position requires frequent travel to field locations and may require after-hours call outs (outside normal hours of 6:00 am 6:00pm). Brice Equipment operates in a fast-paced environment requiring a high degree of efficiency, safety awareness, and independent performance. Adaptability regarding schedule changes and occasional overtime for immediate field support may be necessary.
