Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Field Sales Representative role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Field Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business by prospecting homeowners, builders, and property managers, qualifying leads, and conducting on-site consultations. Daily activities include performing roof inspections and assessments (with training provided), preparing estimates and proposals, and presenting premium roofing solutions that align with client needs and budgets. The role also involves managing a sales pipeline, following up on leads in a timely and professional manner, and maintaining detailed records in the company’s CRM or tracking tools. The Field Sales Representative will collaborate closely with operations and project management teams to ensure accurate scopes of work, smooth project handoffs, and high customer satisfaction from contract signing through project completion.
Qualifications
Proven outside or field sales experience, preferably in construction, roofing, home improvement, or related industries.
Strong communication, active listening, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, client-friendly language.
Solid negotiation, objection‑handling, and closing skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
High level of motivation, discipline, and resilience, with the ability to manage a local territory and work independently in the field.
Comfort working on‑site at residential and commercial properties, including climbing ladders and performing basic roof assessments (training available).
Basic proficiency with digital tools such as CRM systems, email, calendars, and mobile apps for scheduling, documenting visits, and preparing quotes.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within the New York City Metropolitan Area and surrounding markets as needed.
Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, based on client availability and seasonal demand.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree.
