Responsibilities
Design, build, operate and optimize ByteDance’s global network, including backbone, data center, public cloud, and Edge/CDN.
Work with cross‑functional teams such as compute, storage, database, and recommendation system to drive innovation and evolution of ByteDance network.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Good knowledge of network concepts, OSI and TCP/IP models.
Basic understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, ISIS and BGP.
Understanding of basic public cloud concepts.
Hands‑on experience with network devices such as Cisco, Arista, Juniper.
Self‑motivated, good communication and written skills.
Preferred Qualifications
In‑depth knowledge of public cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI).
Familiarity with mainstream commercial switch/router chipsets (Broadcom, Barefoot).
Good understanding of IPv4/IPv6 co‑existence technologies.
Programming/scripting experience in Python or other languages.
Job Information The base salary range for this position in Seattle is $124,717 - $243,200 annually.
