PCB Layout Design Engineer V
As a PCB Layout Engineer on Product Team, you will be responsible for driving world-class, complex Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layouts that incorporate cutting-edge component and stack-up technologies. A core focus of this role is implementing miniaturization solutions within Augmented Reality (AR) product designs. You will collaborate closely with internal electrical and mechanical engineers, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Signal and Power Integrity (SiPi), and other layout and library teams, as well as external suppliers. Key Responsibilities: Research concepts and translate them into engineering plans/blueprints/graphics. Create Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models and detailed drawings for new products/systems. Develop, build, and test prototypes; run evaluations/iterations. Assess prototypes to identify issues, risks, and failure points. Propose changes to improve production efficiency. Oversee/supervise manufacturing execution of the designs (coordinate through build/production). Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 8+ years of experience in complex PCB Design. 5+ years of experience using PCB Design Tools (newer versions). Strong understanding of the mechanical aspects of electronics design. Proficiency with MS Office tools Rigid-flex and flexible circuit design experience HDI (high-density interconnect) PCB design experience. Strong overall PCB layout/design background for complex boards. Desired Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 12+ years of experience in complex PCB Design. Location: Remote [United States] Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $156,000 – $208,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
