Key Responsibilities
Design ground fluid systems for launch sites, test stands, and production equipment supporting the client’s launch vehicles and spacecraft.
Perform preliminary and detailed design, installation, startup support, system baselining, performance analysis, and recommend upgrades.
Develop P&IDs, tube and pipe sizing calculations for cryogenic, multiphase, compressible and incompressible fluids, valve and fitting specification, design for critical safety equipment, control philosophy, pipe and equipment coating and insulation specification.
Manage the fabrication, installation, checkout, and operation of these systems.
Coordinate fabrication and construction with the GSE technician team, including providing P&IDs and dimensional drawings, generating drawings and work instructions, planning and scheduling upcoming work, incorporating technician feedback, and delivering on‑ground support.
Perform activation testing of systems, write detailed test procedures, execute test plans, and collaborate with other teams as necessary.
Maintain and upgrade fluid systems, craft preventive maintenance plans, and troubleshoot nonconformance using the company’s reporting system.
Travel to test and launch sites as required to support company objectives.

Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace, R&D, or oil & gas environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience in cryogenic system design or operation.
Minimum 5 years of experience in fluid systems, pneumatics, hydraulics or HVAC systems in design, assembly, test, or operations.
Minimum 5 years of experience designing and building ground systems (GSE) or related fluid systems, including test environments, fluid or gas conditioning/storage, manufacturing processes, and compressible gases.
Preferred Skills
Experience with distributed control systems (instrumentation, data acquisition, DCS, SCADA).
Strong 3D CAD experience, preferably in Siemens NX/Teamcenter.
Experience developing test and operational procedures.
Familiarity with ASME, NASA, and SSCMAN standards related to fluid system design.
Minimum 7 years of recent experience in a professional setting with fluid, pneumatics, hydraulics, or HVAC system design, assembly, test, or operations.
Hands‑on experience building, troubleshooting, and operating complex fluid or mechanical systems.
