Salesforce, a leading AI CRM provider, seeks a Salesforce Developer to join the Digital Enterprise Technology (DET) Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN.
The role involves designing, building, testing, and maintaining scalable Salesforce applications and web services, implementing DevOps and quality engineering practices, ensuring security best‑practice compliance, and providing technical documentation.
This job requires a self‑starter with strong communication skills, the ability to take ownership, work under pressure, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Required Skills
4–5 years of experience in software development.
2+ years of deep expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex triggers, Async Apex, and Salesforce Flows with a solid understanding of performance, scalability, and security best practices.
2+ years of experience in programming languages such as Java or Python.
2+ years of experience programming JavaScript, HTML.
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Excellent understanding of Salesforce SOQL and SOSL.
Excellent understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Chatter, and Force.com product offerings.
Experience with database concepts and data modeling capabilities.
2+ years of strong UI automation experience using Selenium, TestNG, and Jenkins.
2+ years of experience testing web services (SOAP/REST APIs).
A related technical degree is required.
Desired Skills
Salesforce Administrator and/or Platform Developer certifications are preferable.
Experience with Agentforce implementation for AI agent deployments.
Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Cursor) to enhance development efficiency and code quality.
2+ years of experience with React.js is a significant plus.
Experience developing in an Agile software development environment.
Strong analytical skills and ability to develop processes and methodologies.
Experience with Test‑driven Development (TDD).
Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) processes.
Good understanding of Software‑as‑a‑Service (SaaS) model and concepts.
Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
Ability to take ownership of projects and multi‑task in a fast‑pace environment.
