Our client is a global manufacturing firm that partners with their customers to provide differentiated paper and packaging solutions that help them win in the marketplace. They are in Atlanta and are seeking an Sr. Director, IT Supply Chain Systems to join the team. The Sr. Director, IT Supply Chain Systems is a strategic role working with senior business leaders to align operational strategy with information technology investments such that financial, customer satisfaction, and production goals. This role includes IT strategy, business relationship management, project management, IT service management, as well as being a change agent. She/he will have responsibility for delivering and operating current supply chain solutions used to manage the supply/demand balance of paper between a network of mills, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, trade partners, and domestic and export customers. This includes a portfolio of ERP, forecasting, planning, scheduling, and optimization systems. She/he will take a lead role in setting the direction of the next generation of S&OP and mill ERP systems that will be critical enablers for the firm's digital strategy. This role works closely with the IT shared services organizations and service partners for delivery of IT infrastructure services, development, help desk/field services, and enterprise solutions. The Sr. Director, IT Supply Chain Systems will lead team of internal and external resources that is constantly evolving with the next generation of systems.

How You Will Impact The Firm:
  • Team up with business process owners, functional leads and subject matter experts to define functional business requirements.
  • Work with IT partners to develop robust technical solutions that are aligned with the business and technology capability roadmap
  • Determine, document and communicate to key stakeholders, status of demand planning, supply planning, forecasting and direct procurement process and tools
  • Understand existing business processes and technology to develop the "to be state, and develop a transition plan to create measurable business value
  • Lead process design sessions to define the functional and technical needs of the business. Responsible for all business process deliverables in solution design and analysis phase of any programs
  • Develop functional designs in partnership with the IT team(s) that align with technology standards and architecture principles
  • Lead solution test planning for functional and user acceptance testing
  • Contribute to the technology strategy by identifying, assessing and recommending external trends in technology and methodologies.
  • Understand future business strategies and directions to anticipate technical needs
  • Develop key metrics around project success, operations success and business success
  • Identify process and technology strategies that align with key business objectives and strategy
  • Develop project plans (e.g., detailed plan, milestones, work breakdown structures, etc.) and assigns tasks to resources for ensuring projects will be completed on time and according to specifications.
  • Assists with designing and implementing communication plans to ensure those affected by projects are informed and updated.
  • Oversee the development, construction and implementation of software solutions including the coordination of testing and training.
  • Monitor financial budget, timeline and resource assignments supporting development and implementation efforts. Report variances in a timely and accurate manner to senior management or other appropriate parties.
  • Manages resources and people processes (e.g., performance review, career development, training, staffing, etc.) to ensure the day-to-day administration of processes and formal procedures.
  • Identifies individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities (e.g., training, special assignments, conferences, projects, etc.) to facilitate individual and team development.
What You Need To Succeed:
  • Master's Degree in CIS, MIS, or equivalent experience or Bachelor's degree with compensate experience.
  • 10+ years of experience managing supply chain technology, implementation experience of 3rd party tools
  • Proven leadership of large software application development projects
  • Demonstrated roles leading large teams, managing consultants and software/hardware vendors
  • Track record of building and maintaining influential trust relationships with senior executives and their teams
  • Understanding of digital tools and technologies such as cloud, analytics, API architecture
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies in supply chain and operations
  • Solid coaching and mentoring skills and experience developing staff
  • Effective interpersonal skills, ability to influence others, drive new initiatives and new way of thinking in the organization
  • Experience with developing strategic plans (3-5-year plans)
  • Significant experience developing annual IT budgets and forecasting at a department level, including capital project planning and execution
  • Experience with initiating, managing, and balancing a high-volume portfolio of projects and requests, providing resources, monitoring multiple efforts in various phases, and maintaining delivery objectives.
  • Must possess a solid understanding and have experience working with order-to-cash, financial, supply chain/logistics, and manufacturing processes. Experience and understanding of those processes in the corrugated or consumer packaging industry is a plus.
  • Substantial experience and knowledge of enterprise-level ERP solutions such as SAP or Oracle in the mill industries preferred.
