Opportunity Overview The Factory Applications group is seeking a motivated, self-driven engineer to support our IST Product Marketing team. You will collaborate across the company to develop practical application solutions, building on a foundation in silicon photonics, electronics, and software while growing IST industry expertise.
This entry-level role requires a strong core engineering foundation and a growth mindset to take on diverse, hands‑on technical work.
Growth Area
Develop strong customer relationships at a technical level, to gain a deeper insight into the current usage and future direction of our products.
Investigate problems and recommend solutions on Teradyne SLT platforms to optimize customer throughput and test quality.
Work directly with customer test engineers to understand and improve their test processes.
Work closely with the Teradyne engineering community on new product development – from requirements definition to product release to market and continued through customer support.
Generate and deliver product training, as well as technical papers to both industry and Teradyne user groups.
All About You
BS (or higher) in EE (Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences)
Experience 2 to 4 years in a related technical field.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals (System Level Testing, digital communications and signal processing, power delivery, signal processing, RF device technology and testing a plus).
Proficient with general software programming (preferred .NET – C#, VB and Python) and common algorithms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively both within a team and individually – planning, execution, tracking, and reporting.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills – a commitment to teamwork and “can‑do” spirit.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and deliver clear and effective presentations on complex topics.
Can work under high pressure with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
Basic knowledge about semiconductor device design, manufacturing, and/or testing is a plus.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Compensation The base salary range for this role is $126,800 to $202,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
