About the Role Sales Manager C&I Turnkey Solutions responsible for closing turnkey contracts for Commercial & Industrial PV+Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions in Italy. This key position reports to the Director C&I Storage Turnkey Europe and focuses on achieving predefined sales targets based on market conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and expand existing customer relationships while actively developing new business opportunities within targeted markets and segments.
Identify, qualify, and pursue high‑potential sales opportunities to drive market and revenue growth.
Provide detailed commercial and technical proposals to customers, ensuring alignment with internal teams.
Lead end‑to‑end contract negotiations, securing C&I PV+BESS Turnkey agreements.
Take full responsibility for achieving set sales targets and revenue goals for C&I Turnkey Solutions.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape, including service offerings, component solutions, and market differentiators.
Monitor and analyze market trends, regulatory developments, and political frameworks affecting energy storage in designated segments.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and team members – business development, commercial, project execution and other functions – to ensure seamless project execution.
Leverage market feedback to enhance turnkey product offerings, pricing strategies, and go‑to‑market approaches.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Strong sales skills, including expertise in the sales process, developing and executing effective strategies, presenting comprehensive sales proposals, negotiating complex contracts, and closing deals.
Proactive attitude, pragmatic mindset and sense of urgency.
Result‑driven, hands‑on work approach with a down‑to‑earth mentality.
Ability to work autonomously with high reliability; accustomed to working under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact comfortably with people at all levels of the organization, including executive management in an international environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to understand customers’ business.
Willingness and ability to travel (up to 50%).
Italian and English – fluent, written & spoken; Spanish and/or German preferred.
Deep technical background of energy storage solutions.
Track record of delivering turnkey solutions in the C&I PV+BESS segment.
Engineering studies preferred; alternatively business administration.
Network in the relevant industry segment with at least 7 years of working experience.
Experience with value selling and designing an account penetration strategy/plan.
Familiar with the respective interests of the players in the different solar sectors.
High proficiency of MS Office applications and Microsoft Dynamics or other CRM systems.
Location & Travel
Italy – key markets include Italy.
Travel up to 50%.
