Role Overview Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Position Summary It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion dollar business and we are looking for a Sr SAP FICO Product Manager to work in a start-up environment.
As the FI & CO expert, possess both the functional & technical background and that enables them to work with technology and a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically about Amazon Leo initiatives. They will experience a wide range of problem-solving situations requiring an understanding of business process and SAP configuration expertise. And able to design solutions, enhance and production support. Work closely with other SAP functional while designing and/or enhancement and support of these systems which is critical for scalability and cost-effective manufacturing of satellites and ground gateway terminals. To be successful you need to be highly motivated, detail oriented and effective communicator.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of projects related to SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) module from design to deployment including integration with Amazon Corporate systems.
Build deployment project plans and manage risks impacting successful delivery.
Develop use cases by gathering business requirements, work with software development to build required features, clearly communicate dependencies and manage/track exceptions.
Participate and build Proof of Concepts (POCs) to ensure proposed solution can meet business requirements using SAP S/4.
Active participation in Unit Test, System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, and User Training.
Apply strong knowledge of the business processes for designing, developing, and testing SAP S/4 HANA ERP functionality, which includes expertise in general ledger, accounts payable, project system, cost center accounting, product cost controlling and profit center accounting.
Configure SAP S/4 HANA FICO to meet business requirements, including connection points with PP, MM, PS, & SD and other modules and implementation of SAP best practices.
Have an ability to navigate through a large amount of ambiguity and drive consensus between cross-functional stakeholder groups.
A Day in the Life Gather requirement from Finance, Accounting & Tax teams and collaborate with other functional teams for HLD design and configure SAP to business requirement with validate & user trainings.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
8+ years of experience in SAP FICO, including Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO)
3+ years of experience leading teams or managing large-scale SAP Finance programs
Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC in complex, production environments
Strong expertise in core finance processes including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Bank Accounting
Experience with month‑end and year‑end close (Record‑to‑Report lifecycle)
Deep understanding of Cost Centers, Projects/WBS, Profit Centers, Product Costing
Experience delivering end‑to‑end finance transformations or ERP implementations
Understanding of integration across MM, SD, and PP modules
Experience in reconciliation, audit readiness, and issue resolution
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
MBA, CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent finance certification
Experience leading SAP S/4HANA transformation programs
Experience in SAP FI/CO configuration and solution design
Knowledge of Material Ledger and advanced accounting
Experience with external integrations (e.g., Oracle Project Accounting)
Experience in large‑scale or high‑growth environments
Familiarity with SAP Fiori, embedded analytics, or BI tools

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Salary USA, NY, New York: $183,000.00 - $247,500.00 USD annually
USA, VA, Arlington: $166,300.00 - $225,000.00 USD annually
USA, WA, Bellevue: $166,300.00 - $225,000.00 USD annually
