As a Catering Sales & Event Manager, you’ll lead the planning and execution of catered events, working closely with clients to ensure every detail exceeds expectations. From managing event logistics to coordinating with culinary and banquet teams, you'll deliver seamless experiences that drive guest satisfaction and revenue. This role is ideal for an organized, customer-focused professional with a passion for hospitality and event management.
Key Responsibilities
You build excellent relationships with clients, third parties, and community organizations to generate catering business for the hotel.
You prospect for new business, respond to incoming RFPs and inquiries, execute contracts and BEOs, and communicate client expectations to the hotel team.
You report to the Director of Sales [Director of Catering].
By learning the entire hotel, you position yourself for advanced careers in group sales, new market segments, food and beverage, or hotel operations.
Education & Experience Hotel experience is always a plus. Applicants should have a college degree or two years of hotel experience. Previous experience in a similar or related position is preferred. Additional consideration will be given to applicants who have completed special certifications.
What You’ll Need to Succeed

Sufficient education and/or literacy to identify and read product labels and communicate with guests about job‑related needs.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and lift as required—with or without reasonable accommodations.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
