Job Requisition ID: 94022 Location: Fully Remote Job Title: Experience & Digital Marketing, Business Planning Senior Production & Portfolio Associate Role Overview
When you join New York Life, you are joining a company that values career development, collaboration, innovation, and inclusiveness. You will have the opportunity to grow your career while developing personally and professionally through various resources and programs. New York Life is a relationship‑based company and appreciates how both virtual and in‑person interactions support our culture. As part of the Experience & Digital Marketing organization (EDM), the Business Planning team coordinates and drives the integration, sequencing, and delivery of workstreams into the broader portfolio. The role focuses on managing EDM’s integrated business plan, roadmap, portfolio of work, mobilizing large‑scale, cross‑functional programs, synthesizing complex work into clear plans and narratives, and empowering EDM employees to grow, connect and collaborate to achieve business outcomes. You are a motivated, energetic, adaptable, and extremely detail‑oriented candidate who can seamlessly plan, coordinate, and drive a diverse portfolio of large‑scale, cross‑functional programs and activations. You think at the portfolio level: understanding how individual programs connect, where dependencies exist, and how sequencing decisions impact campaign needs. Examples of programs include in‑house creative and content production, cross‑channel campaign activation, MarTech & Digital Experience Platform enablement, and modernization efforts. You bring passion, strategic planning detail, and thoughtfulness to every interaction. You have strong teamwork skills, excellent written and verbal communications, and the capacity to work cross‑functionally and influence at all levels. You lead meetings, solve problems, propose solutions, facilitate workshops, synthesize outputs, and ask questions. You take initiative and are a process‑oriented problem solver and critical thinker with the ability to manage multiple efforts and balance work strategically. You have incredibly strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work in a deadline‑driven environment, including proficiency in using digital tools and platforms. Key Responsibilities
Lead EDM portfolio planning and delivery across assigned programs, defining multi‑year roadmaps, prioritization frameworks, investment sequencing, and resource strategies to ensure the portfolio advances EDM's business plan and OKR framework. Coordinate production planning across in‑house creative, content, and technology teams, ensuring production requirements, timelines, dependencies, and resource needs are incorporated into portfolio plans and activation strategies. Connect the dots across programs and portfolios of work, identifying how strategy, roadmap decisions, resource allocation, and program outcomes collectively support EDM business objectives, while surfacing trade‑offs, opportunities, and downstream implications. Facilitate cross‑functional planning, governance, and decision making across stakeholders, driving alignment on priorities, milestones, dependencies, and business outcomes through workshops, planning sessions, and executive discussions. Own and maintain portfolio management artifacts, including integrated roadmaps, capacity plans, dependency maps, and planning assumptions, ensuring leaders have accurate visibility to support prioritization and decision making as conditions evolve. Identify, assess, and elevate portfolio‑level risks, constraints, and planning gaps, including resource limitations, roadmap conflicts, and interdependencies, while bringing recommendations and options to support timely resolution. Continuously improve planning, portfolio management, and reporting practices, leveraging tools such as Workfront and AI to increase transparency, streamline operations, strengthen governance, and improve organizational effectiveness at scale. Skills & Competencies
Experience within a marketing, creative, content, digital, or customer experience organization with a strong understanding of how marketing strategies, campaigns, and activations are planned, developed, and delivered. Strong collaboration and teamwork skills (including internal employees and third‑party partner resources). Strong written and verbal communications, especially regarding public speaking, email communications, and PowerPoint presentations. Ability to work cross‑functionally and partner with both colleagues and business leaders to influence at all levels of the organization. Self‑starter, process‑orientated problem solver, with the ability to manage multiple efforts and balance work strategically; comfortable working in grey areas. Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize work in a deadline‑driven environment; detail‑oriented is an absolute must. Preferred if candidate brings strong knowledge of Tier1 creative and content production, including production operations, rights and usage management, talent and asset licensing, vendor management, budgeting, workflow governance, resourcing, and delivery planning. Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms – specifically, strong command of PowerPoint is required; familiarity with Adobe Workfront is a great value‑add; the team heavily uses AI, and the candidate must either be “all‑in” on learning and scaling (training is provided) or have proven experience of solutioning problems and creating efficiencies through AI. Experience
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience. Proven experience in cross‑functional & large‑scale business planning, activation production, strategy, project/program planning and/or management; work samples may be requested. Job Level & Compensation
Job Level: LEVELPF4 Salary Range: $100,000 – $143,000. Overtime eligible: Exempt. Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes. Sales bonus eligible: No. Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors including individual experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program. Benefits
We provide a full package of benefits for employees, including unique offerings for a modern workforce such as leave programs, adoption assistance, and student loan repayment programs. We continually refine our benefits to help employees flourish both inside and outside of work.
