Responsibilities*
Clean wound (s) before treatment is administered. Perform standard medical laboratory tests, including urinalysis. Schedule and refer patients to appointments. Respond to general patient inquiries regarding treatment and clinic policies and procedures. Coordinate patient care with outside health agencies. Obtain health status and medical history. Maintain patient files and records. Complete insurance forms and initiate other patient correspondence. Arrange for the repair of clinic equipment Maintain stock levels and order clinic supplies. Process patient care orders using the electronic ordering system may be required in certain areas Required Qualifications*
High school diploma or GED.
Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR current enrollment in, or completion of coursework in a healthcare professional program (e.g., medical school, PA program, nursing program, or related clinical training) OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (1 - 3 years).
Demonstrated knowledge of clinical workflows, patient care, and basic medical terminology.
Desired Qualifications*
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or (RMA). Experience working within a large complex health care setting. Familiarity with electronic medical records system.
Ability to walk long distances throughout the hospital daily and frequently.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a team setting.
Communicates effectively and has strong accountability and diversity with multiple roles.
Demonstrated active listening, written, verbal and information technology skills.
Modes of Work Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Part Time hours, 20 hours per week, weekday schedule will vary depending on location/clinic.
Must be able to work 20 hours between Monday - Friday schedule.
May be occasional weekends.
