Title: Technical Accounting Manager

This role sits within a corporate technical accounting and reporting group and is designed for a high?exposure individual contributor with strong judgment and leadership presence. The position focuses on complex accounting matters tied to new business initiatives and transactions, while also playing a key role in external financial reporting and stakeholder communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a lead contributor on complex technical accounting matters, including transaction?driven and new initiative accounting
• Support accounting and reporting considerations for strategic transactions, including acquisitions and integrations
• Play a leading role in preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual financial filings and external disclosures
• Partner closely with business, finance, and legal teams to evaluate and document accounting conclusions for new or evolving activities
• Assist with adoption and implementation of new accounting standards and guidance
• Support improvements to reporting processes, controls, and documentation

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical accounting experience
• Background in public accounting with progression into technical accounting or external reporting roles
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• CPA required or commitment to obtaining CPA

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Accounting
• Experience in a technology or similarly complex operating environment
• Exposure to both US GAAP and international accounting frameworks
• Familiarity with internal control environments and regulatory reporting requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort working with financial systems and reporting tools

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
• licensure and certification requirements;
• office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
