Role Overview
Director, Deal Maker – SLED leads complex, multi‑tower, multi‑million-dollar deals across state, local, enterprise, and client‑engaged cities, school districts, and other government entities. The role involves shaping opportunities, negotiating CxO‑level contracts, and driving profitable growth for Kyndryl’s core and strategic accounts. Responsibilities
Lead deals from qualification through to closure for complex, multi‑tower, multi‑million‑dollar opportunities. Drive pricing and commercial strategy, leveraging insights from Kyndryl’s pricing experts. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather documents and technical solutions for bid submissions. Define winning propositions and lead the end‑to‑end response for complex deals. Lead contract negotiations to ensure the best outcome for Kyndryl and its clients. Act as the bridge between Kyndryl teams and the customer organization throughout the deal process. Compile, refine, and own the final proposal documents, presenting technical content professionally and concisely. Establish a robust reporting and governance process to monitor deal success. Required Skills and Experience
High level of state‑government technology solution expertise and technical solution sales techniques. Proven experience in conceptualizing and executing bid activities and deals, particularly within state government. 10 years of experience leading state/local government customer negotiations. Preferred Skills and Experience
Sales experience in government technical solutions. Previous experience with state DMV agencies. Fluency in state‑government budgeting and funding processes. Compensation
The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $161,520 to $290,760 for a full‑time schedule. Salary may vary by geography, job‑related skills, and experience. California (SanFrancisco Bay Area): $193,920 to $348,840 California (All Other): $177,720 to $319,800 Colorado: $161,520 to $290,760 Massachusetts: $161,520 to $319,800 NewYorkCity: $193,920 to $348,840 Washington: $177,720 to $319,800 Washington DC: $177,720 to $319,800 Benefits
