An exceptional Trauma & Acute Care Surgery opportunity is available within a nationally significant Level I Trauma Center in the Atlanta metro area. This role offers the chance to practice in one of the busiest and highest-acuity environments in the country, with exposure to complex trauma, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care. Physicians will join a highly collaborative, well-supported team with strong APP and resident coverage, allowing for efficient workload distribution and enhanced patient care. The program is actively expanding, creating opportunities for leadership, academic involvement, and future fellowship development. With a structured shift model and emphasis on team-based care, this position supports both clinical excellence and sustainability. Position, Compensation & Organization Highlights Level I Trauma Center with nationally significant volume and acuity 150,000+ ED visits annually; one of the busiest in the U.S. 2,200 trauma activations and 4,000 trauma patients per year 2,000 emergency general surgery cases annually High-acuity case mix: trauma, EGS, and surgical critical care 12 clinical shifts per month across trauma, ICU, and EGS Balanced schedule with day, night, and weekend coverage 4 trauma surgeons in-house (day); 2 in-house overnight Dedicated ICU and EGS physician roles for optimized workflow 10 trauma surgeons with planned expansion to 14.6 FTE 24/7 APP coverage supporting OR, rounding, and patient care General surgery residency with 24/7 in-house resident support Academic affiliation with faculty appointment and fellowship development Advanced infrastructure: Da Vinci robotics, expanding ICU capacity Guaranteed salary with additional quality and productivity incentives Full benefits: 401(k) match, malpractice with tail, CME, PTO Relocation assistance and sign-on bonus included
