Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Portage, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal in a healthcare location where you will serve as an armed officer, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding to site needs with professionalism. This role offers the chance to support patients, staff, and visitors through strong communication, customer service, teamwork, and integrity while contributing to a caring, reliable, and innovative culture.

Pay Rate: $24.72 / Hour
Job Schedule:

- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, patients, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related operations in a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when appropriate and preparing detailed activity reports.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including parking areas, entrances, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry to restricted areas, while observing for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns.
- Support emergency response activities and assist with de-escalation, directions, and general assistance for people on site during routine operations and unusual events.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
