Responsibilities
Lead the administration and management of enterprise databases to support application operations and modernization initiatives.
Oversee performance tuning and capacity planning to ensure reliable and scalable data services.
Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies to safeguard enterprise data.
Configure and manage database access controls and security measures in alignment with compliance requirements.
Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize database integration and data integrity.
Support vulnerability remediation and configuration compliance activities to enhance database security.
Advise on database optimization strategies to improve scalability and performance.
Ensure alignment with enterprise data governance and cybersecurity policies.
Facilitate system modernization efforts while maintaining operational continuity.
Required Qualifications
Clearance: Secret Eligible required.
S. Citizenship required.
DoD 8140.03 Compliance: DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 421-Database Administrator at the Intermediate proficiency level.
Certifications (one or more required): Cloud+, GSEC, Security+, SSCP.
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise database administration within DoD or Federal IT environments.
Proven experience in performance tuning, database optimization, and capacity planning.
Demonstrated ability to implement backup and recovery strategies and manage database security.
Experience coordinating with development and infrastructure teams for database integration.
Strong understanding of data governance and cybersecurity policies.
Desired Qualifications
Clearance: Active Secret preferred.
Experience with vulnerability remediation and compliance validation in a DoD environment.
Familiarity with ARNG or similar military IT operations.
Advanced skills in advising on database scalability and optimization.
Proficiency in supporting system modernization and data integrity initiatives.
Knowledge of enterprise data protection and operational continuity strategies.
