Position Summary Under the supervision of the Child Care Regulations Enhancement and Release Manager, this full‑time role (40 hrs per week) facilitates business analysis for the service‑request life cycle. The incumbent leads the development of user stories from business requirements, creates acceptance criteria, and ensures consistency of requirements analysis, documentation, and testing across multiple project teams within the Child Care Regulations group.
Essential Job Functions
Lead and facilitate the service‑request lifecycle, including responses to customer‑related requests, requirements coordination across program areas, and monitoring of system integration and user acceptance testing (30%).
Oversee development of business and user requirements, act as liaison between technical and non‑technical stakeholders, document technical specifications, and communicate processes verbally and via workflow diagrams (30%).
Provide input on the requirements management process across the SDLC, collaborate with IT, and develop training sessions on business analysis techniques and standards (15%).
Consult on quality assurance, oversee projects and assignments, and report status and opportunities for cross‑divisional collaboration (10%).
Participate in project teams to deliver IT solutions through analysis and documentation of business processes, requirements, and specifications (10%).
Perform other duties as assigned, including disaster response or continuity of operations activation (5%).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of facilitation techniques and effective management principles.
Understanding of the SDLC, Agile SDLC, and process improvement methods.
Skilled in eliciting business and technical requirements and communicating complex design issues.
Proficiency with SQL, Excel, and data analysis tools.
Ability to develop test scripts, conduct user acceptance testing, and resolve complex problems.
Strong verbal and written communication, presentation skills, and customer service orientation.
Experience with Visio or similar workflow tools.
Initial Screening Criteria
Graduation from an accredited four‑year college or university in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management, or related fields (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
At least two (2) years of experience in an Agile/SW Development Life Cycle environment.
At least two (2) years of experience working with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or IBM DB2.
Preferred experience in cloud migration initiatives and MuleSoft integration solutions.
