Job Description Sales Estimator – Concrete & Hardscape

About Us Duffie Driveway Solutions is Columbia's concrete and hardscape contractor of choice. We build driveways, patios, walkways, retaining walls, and decorative hardscape projects that homeowners and commercial clients are proud of for decades. We're a tight-knit team that takes our craft seriously — and we're growing.
The Opportunity We're looking for a Sales Estimator who can walk a job site, read a customer, build an accurate estimate, and close the deal. This is a 50/50 office and field role — you'll spend part of the day planning and building estimates, and the other part of the day meeting with homeowners and commercial clients across the Midlands.
This is not an entry-level position. We want someone who understands construction, knows how to talk to customers, and can represent DDS professionally from the first handshake to the signed estimate.
What You'll Do
Run on-site estimate appointments—assess scope, take measurements, sketch the project layout within our program, and present creative solutions
Build detailed, accurate estimates using our estimating tools
Manage a dedicated follow-up pipeline
Coordinate with Admin and the Project Manager team to ensure smooth job handoffs
Represent Duffie Driveway Solutions with professionalism, product knowledge, and pride
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 2 years of experience in construction estimating or construction sales—concrete and hardscape experience strongly preferred
Proven ability to read a job site and scope a project accurately
Strong communicator—comfortable in front of homeowners and commercial clients alike
Self-managed and organized
Proficient with technology— we use digital estimating tools, Google Workspace, and scheduling platforms, all cloud based
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Professional appearance and demeanor on every visit
