*Job Summary*
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented *Interconnection Specialist* to manage and streamline our utility application and approval pipeline. In this role, you will own the critical final phases of our solar, EV charging, and energy storage system (ESS) portfolios. Serving as the primary bridge between our internal design engineers, our high-profile clients, and major utility companies, you will navigate complex technical regulations to drive projects efficiently from conception to successful Permission to Operate (PTO).
*Key Responsibilities*
* *Interconnection Administration:* Manage end-to-end administration for utility interconnection applications, including Net Energy Metering (NEM, NEM-A, and NEM-V) frameworks.
* *Technical Compliance:* Maintain a deep proficiency in utility interconnection standards, including *Rule 16 Green Book* specifications and *Title 24* compliance.
* *Application & Data Auditing:* Procure client utility account information and rigorously audit all data, equipment lists, and specifications prior to online submission.
* *Cross-Functional Collaboration:* Partner closely with our in-house solar design engineers to ensure schematic plan sets, electrical load calculations, and meter solutions perfectly align with utility mandates.
* *Diverse Technology Integration:* Coordinate applications across a diverse technology mix, including ballasted/penetrating roof mounts, single-axis trackers, structural steel carports, Level 2/Level 3 EV charging stations, and STEM Energy Storage Systems (ESS).
* *Inspection & Project Management:* Coordinate municipal and utility inspections to ensure field installations align perfectly with approved documentation, meeting strict project timelines.
*Qualifications & Skills*
* *Industry Experience:* Proven track record managing utility interconnection applications specifically within the solar and energy storage sectors.
* *Technical Knowledge:* A solid foundational understanding of electrical engineering concepts, dedicated/distributed meter solutions, and commercial load center components.
* *Utility Navigation:* Deep familiarity with utility companies and an understanding of how to efficiently navigate their bureaucratic frameworks.
* *Project Management:* Exceptional organizational skills with experience managing a rolling portfolio of active commercial or agricultural projects.
* *Attention to Detail:* Sharp problem-solving abilities and an eye for absolute accuracy to prevent utility corrections and project delays.
