Job Summary We’re looking for an experienced DevOps Engineering Manager to lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of Green Dot’s infrastructure. The role is structured hybrid, requiring at least three days per week onsite in Los Angeles, CA, with remote flexibility. This manager will oversee CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and AI‑driven tools while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor DevOps and Release Engineering teams across multiple geographies. Oversee CI/CD pipeline development, maintenance, and optimization. Manage cloud‑native infrastructure (Azure, AWS) and container orchestration. Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption and automation. Collaborate with Cloud Systems Engineering, SRE, Security, and Development teams to ensure secure and reliable deployments. Plan and execute platform migrations and reliability engineering initiatives. Integrate AI tools to enhance development efficiency and software delivery. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Align individual goals with team and organizational objectives, focusing on measurable improvements in deployment velocity, system uptime, and incident response times. Participate in scheduled on‑call rotations, ensuring primary and backup coverage for critical systems. Adhere to escalation protocols and provide timely incident response. Support team members in pursuing relevant certifications and professional growth opportunities. Ensure fair and transparent on‑call scheduling, provide backup coverage, and facilitate knowledge transfer during handoffs. Actively explore and implement AI‑driven solutions to improve development efficiency, e.g., predictive deployment risk analysis, automated code reviews, AI‑driven optimization of CI/CD pipeline performance, and AI assistants for troubleshooting. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5–7+ years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, or related roles. Proven leadership experience managing technical teams. Expertise with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions). Experience with cloud application technologies (AKS, AWS, Azure) and cloud platforms. Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps. Experience with monitoring and observability tools. Familiarity with AI/ML tools and their applications in software development workflows. Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills. Current residence in Los Angeles, CA (location requirement). Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Location & Compensation Location: Los Angeles, CA. Structured hybrid—minimum 3 days onsite per week. Pay Range: $118,800 to $178,200 per year.
