The Central Analytics Reporting (CAR) team provides centralized support for existing reporting deliverables and requests, including data management, reviewing reporting outputs for content, compliance, and format, and promoting consistency and standardization. CAR increasingly leverages automation tools to streamline data preparation, enhance quality checks, and accelerate reporting cycles. CAR also creates new reporting dashboards and automated outputs to provide best‑in‑class reporting for our investors and drive efficiencies in production and review processes. When providing data to stakeholders, CAR must gather requested inputs and share data in a meaningful way, giving stakeholders access to relevant information for decision‑making.
Responsibilities
Prepare recurring reporting deliverables, including the Quarterly Update to Investors (QUI) reports.
Review content prepared by deal teams and Fund Management, draft content leveraging current technology, coordinate data needed for reports from other departments, and assemble accurate and complete drafts.
Prepare and respond to internal and external data requests, leveraging existing reporting tools.
Understand the Carlyle data model and reporting needs, write requirements, and work with Global Technology and Solutions (GTS) to develop, test, and implement new solutions.
Collaborate with CAR colleagues, Fund Management, Product Managers, and GTS on technology projects to improve reporting technology, data collection, and scale of recurring reporting deliverables using tools such as Snowflake, Claude, and internal Carlyle tools.
Coordinate and complete ad hoc and LP data requests.
Create new reports or dashboards using available technology tools.
Perform self‑check to ensure data is accurate, complete, meets the requestor’s needs, and is delivered on time.
Communicate underlying data, key assumptions, and relevant context so stakeholders can use and interpret the information properly.
Participate in value‑stream projects, including prioritization and development of technology enhancements and process improvements that increase automation and efficiency.
Engage in requirements meetings, status updates, and user testing, ensuring the value‑stream goals are achieved and draft communications and trainings for Fund Management stakeholders.
Support data collection validation across Carlyle, managing inputs from internal and external sources and ensuring information is complete, properly structured, and aligned with reporting requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (required). Concentration in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (required).
Demonstrated record of expertise in quantitative analysis and financial modeling.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBi).
Ability to integrate AI tools into workflows to improve reporting speed, clarity, and accuracy.
Experience operating in a demanding, fast‑paced environment and balancing multiple tasks.
Strong, confident, and proactive communication skills, with frequent direct communication with Investment Professionals and Fund Management colleagues.
Self‑starter and creative thinker who can provide solutions to roadblocks.
Strong interpersonal skills to manage issues or delays and identify potential solutions.
Strong organizational skills; high‑quality work product, attention to detail, and accuracy required.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, seeking ways to improve processes, mitigate risk, and increase effectiveness.
High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary matters.
