Job Overview Manufacturing Systems Applications Engineer – responsible for sustaining MES systems (iBASEt/CAMS) across advanced development programs, resolving technical issues, and supporting new plant setups.
Responsibilities
Execute sustainment of MES systems across multiple classified program environments.
Investigate and gather technical issue information affecting production operation systems.
Analyze customer problems, create new production processes within the existing framework, coordinate capability solutions, communicate requirements to IT architects, and present solutions to functional core process owners.
Support system releases, write and execute test scripts to validate system functionality.
Participate in development, documentation, training, and deployment of new Production Operations Business Processes related to PLM and MES integration.
Engage with senior personnel and management on significant technical matters across functions and Lockheed Martin business areas.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
Working knowledge of MES Manufacturing Execution Systems (Solumina iBASEt and CAMS SFM) or similar MES applications.
Experience in manufacturing systems, business processes, and methods.
Desired Skills
Exposure to PLM systems (Dassault 3DX and Siemens Xcelerator) and manufacturing applications including MBOM, Process Plan, Condition of Supply, Tooling, Configuration Management, and Workflow processes.
Knowledge of Aeronautical manufacturing systems, business processes, and methods.
Good communication skills.
Experience in one or more of the following: process development across multiple systems, digital transformation, CATIA/3DX/DELMIA/NX, Teamcenter/Xcelerator, Apriso Quality First, documenting business processes, training requirements, end‑user training and support, authoring requirement specifications, manufacturing/quality/planning functional end user, defect management.
Security Clearance Must be a U.S. citizen. This position requires a Secret clearance with investigation or CV date within 5 years.

Location: Palmdale, CA – facility requiring special access.
Work Schedule: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week (full‑time onsite).
Shift: First.

Compensation & Benefits Annual base salary range in California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding major metro areas), Colorado, etc.: $67,000 – $117,990. Salary varies by location. Incentive plan eligible.
