Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Team Member in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer at a financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a professional environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach while responding to the unique needs of an armed patrol post.

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocol.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the banking center, office areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and support visitor and/or vendor entry procedures while following post orders and applicable banking location requirements.
  • Maintain a visible presence while carrying authorized equipment, interacting professionally with staff and the public, and communicating with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess 4 or more years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
