Residential Supervisor

The Residential Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of residential services, ensuring that all residents receive high-quality support and service. This position is responsible for managing a team of direct support workers, providing guidance and training to enhance their performance and interaction skills. The supervisor will also be tasked with resolving complex staff and individual issues, ensuring that all concerns are addressed promptly and effectively. Additionally, the role involves monitoring service delivery metrics and implementing strategies to improve the overall service and care. Ultimately, the Residential Supervisor is key to fostering a positive living environment and ensuring that all services and supports meet the needs of all individuals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years in the field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within healthcare.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with residential services or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Therap data systems or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with your Residential Manager and DSW team to develop and implement Individual Plans.
  • Oversees the staff schedule and secures coverage as needed.
  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for the individuals we serve
  • Provide direct assistance with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene
  • Support household routines such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and transportation
  • Maintain accurate financial records and safeguard personal belongings
  • Train and mentor Direct Support Workers to deliver high-quality care
  • Promote meaningful community engagement through employment, recreation, and volunteer opportunities
  • Serve as a hands-on leader who models professionalism, positivity, and empathy
  • Flexibility in work schedule when needed to support the program.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include but are not limited to strong leadership abilities, willingness to be flexible, and ability to work under pressure which are essential for guiding and motivating the team to achieve their goals. Excellent communication skills are necessary for effectively addressing employee and individual concerns. In addition to collaborating with other departments. Problem-solving skills are crucial for resolving complex issues that may arise with out notice. Additionally, organizational skills are important for managing multiple tasks and ensuring that all operations run smoothly. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with Therap software, will enhance the supervisor's ability to track customer interactions and improve service quality.
