- €100k DOE Hybrid working Vehicle/ fuel card if travel required Bonus Pension Health Insurance Discount Death in Service payment and more Role: Lead and mentor a team of substation design engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables Oversee equipment design (generators, UPS, switchgear, transformers, earthing systems) Review and approve drawings (AutoCAD, MicroStation, EPLAN) and schematics Guide development of control/protection schematics, wiring schedules, and material specs Ensure electrical plant drawings and single-line diagrams meet project standards Coordinate mechanical and electrical services design across projects Ensure team compliance with IEC, EU standards, and building codes Define project scopes, allocate resources, and manage technical queries during construction Oversee as-built documentation and pre-commissioning processes Conduct site visits, support field engineers, and oversee system audits/evaluations Act as PSDP representative, ensuring design risk assessments and H&S plans are completed Manage multiple projects across regions, ensuring timely delivery within budget Foster collaboration, drive process improvements, and support team development Requirements: Degree in Electrical Engineering (NFQ Level 8) 4+ years relevant experience, with leadership xyswxtq or supervisory experience preferred Strong technical/design expertise; AutoCAD knowledge a plus (training provided) Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Proven ability to manage teams, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines Flexible, proactive, and strategic thinker with strong report-writing skills Full drivers license required If you are a Senior Electrical Design Engineer who is looking for your next career move, send your CV to Oisn ODonohoe or call for a confidential discussion.
