Harrisburg, SD | RMS Roller-Grinder
$24.00 - $28.00/hour depending on experience!
If you enjoy hands‑on work, solving real‑world problems, and seeing your work directly impact customers, this is not your typical lab role.
At RMS Roller‑Grinder, our Test Lab is more than a workspace. It is where customer challenges turn into real solutions. As we grow, we are looking for an Applications & Testing Specialist who can take ownership, thrive on independence, and take pride in running a clean, high‑performing operation.
What You will Do You will be the go‑to expert running our Test Lab, owning everything from equipment performance to customer testing insights.
Keep the Lab Running at Its Best
Maintain a clean, organized, customer‑ready lab environment.
Perform maintenance, repairs, calibrations, and component changeouts on roller mills and lab equipment.
Manage inventory of supplies, tools, and spare parts.
Turn Materials into Meaningful Insights
Run test grinds and application tests on a wide variety of materials.
Conduct sampling and quality verification testing.
Measure roll corrugations and monitor wear trends to recommend service needs.
Own the Testing Process
Manage and prioritize the testing schedule to meet customer timelines.
Accurately document and organize all test data.
Analyze how materials perform and determine optimal machine settings.
Deliver clear, actionable test reports with recommendations and operating parameters.
Support Customers & Internal Teams
Partner with sales and engineering to provide technical insights.
Contribute to customer conversations with real data and practical recommendations.

What We are Looking For
A self‑starter who takes full ownership of their work.
Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with equipment.
Detail‑oriented with solid data tracking and organization skills.
