Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, providing compassionate and efficient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. This role supports physicians and mid-level providers by delivering patient assessments, treatments, testing, and education with professionalism and attention to detail. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Adhere to clinic policies ensuring patient safety, including infection prevention and safe patient handling. Administer medications via oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes as prescribed. Assist providers during procedures, maintaining sterile fields and managing instruments. Support examinations within the scope of licensure and perform phone triage. Serve as a liaison between patients and providers, communicating test results and addressing patient inquiries. Document patient complaints and visit details accurately according to provider preferences. Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs, height, and weight. Manage and update patient medication lists and summaries. Perform point-of-care lab testing and collect specimens as ordered. Educate patients on electronic health record tools and provide supportive teaching. Schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, handling precertifications and authorizations. Train new LPNs and medical assistants in clinic protocols. Demonstrate accountability, teamwork, and reliability in attendance and performance.
Education Graduate of an accredited LPN program with completion of an approved IV therapy course. Experience Previous nursing or healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory. Certification and License Current LPN license valid in the state of practice and American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required. Mental and Physical Requirements Requires significant mental focus, ability to lift up to 35 pounds, and perform activities involving standing, walking, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching. Working Conditions Frequent exposure to infectious and communicable diseases, occasional encounters with hostile individuals, and minimal physical discomfort.
