This position plays an important role in supporting patient treatment through planned therapeutic and leisure activities. The work involves designing programs, assessing patient needs, and working closely with a team of professionals to support individualized care. As a Therapeutic Activities Worker, you will perform the following duties:
Program Planning: Design therapeutic and leisure activities that support patient treatment goals Patient Assessment: Evaluate patient strengths and needs to guide activity planning Team Collaboration: Work with treatment team members to coordinate and adjust care plans Activity Leadership: Lead individual and group activities that promote engagement and skill building Documentation Tasks: Record patient participation and maintain required program records Safety Compliance: Maintain activity areas in a safe condition and follow all hospital policies Interested in learning more? Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, rotating weekends and holidays as assigned, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
A bachelor's degree with major coursework in therapeutic recreation; physical education; vocational rehabilitation; vocational education or counseling; art, music, dance, or occupational therapies; or a related human services field; or Four years of experience providing therapeutic activities for individuals with physical, medical, or cognitive disabilities; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Other Requirements:
This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
