ASCP Endoscopy Technician (CST Preferred)

Über
Assist physicians with procedural tasks during endoscopy. Monitor and process instruments and equipment following clinical standards and guidelines. Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize endoscopes and related accessories. Collect tissue specimens in accordance with protocol. Support registered nurses with patient care and transportation. Prioritize tasks effectively and adjust priorities as needed.
Education and Experience: Completion of an Endoscopy Technician program or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential is preferred but not required. Candidates with 1-2 years of relevant experience are favored. Licensure and Certifications: Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) as a CST is preferred. This opportunity is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest, offering a supportive and collaborative environment for professional growth.
