Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program Sea Mar Community Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) founded in 1978, is a community-based organization committed to providing quality, comprehensive health, human, housing, educational and cultural services to diverse communities, specializing in service to Latinos in Washington State. Sea Mar's network of services includes more than 90 medical, dental, and behavioral health clinics and a wide variety of nutritional, social, and educational services. We are recruiting for the following position: 12-Month Paid Apprenticeship | Non-Exempt Sea Mar Community Health Centers is committed to advancing health equity and expanding access to care for underserved communities. Our State-approved Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program offers a meaningful pathway into healthcare for individuals who are passionate about serving others and building a long-term career in community health. This 12-month program combines 2,000 hours of paid clinical training with structured coursework to prepare apprentices to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam. Apprentices work alongside experienced care teams in a patient-centered medical home model, helping ensure every patient receives respectful, high-quality care. Your Role in the Mission
Support providers in delivering compassionate, culturally responsive care Room patients, obtain vital signs, and assist with exams and procedures Track clinical quality measures and support care coordination Administer immunizations within scope Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve health outcomes
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent 18 years or older CPR certification Commitment to completing required coursework Dedication to serving diverse and underserved communities
