Description of Work Work in this class involves the cleaning and minor maintenance of an assigned area. Positions perform a variety of duties in the care and cleaning of State facilities. Duties may include physically strenuous activities such as moving furniture, operating heavy cleaning equipment, and delivering large quantities of housekeeping supplies. Work is performed under close supervision, guided by a daily schedule for general assignments and specific instructions for special assignments. Work is reviewed through inspections and frequent consultation with supervisory personnel. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Recruitment Range: $31,200 - $48,810
Must have thorough knowledge of techniques involved in stripping and waxing floors including, buffing, sweeping, mopping, top scrubbing, deep cleaning and general floor care and maintenance. Must be able to communicate effectively and follow oral or written instructions. Must have skills in the use and care of floor maintenance equipment.
Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (LNMTC), located in Wilson, NC, is a state-operated certified Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). With a staff of about 520, LNMTC provides support to approximately 200 residents with complex medical needs and/or co-existing neuro-cognitive disorders. THIS POSITION IS DESIGNATED MANDATORY AND MUST REPORT OR STAY OVER DURING ADVERSE WEATHEREVENTS OR OTHER EMERGENCIES.
