Contract Description
Assist Practitioners performing one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams for Veterans, while acting as an Administrative and Medical Assistant. Job responsibilities will include performing ancillary services such as: pulmonary function tests (PFT), ankle brachial index (ABI) and electrocardiograms (EKG). Administrative duties include greeting Veterans, effectively managing office functions, ensuring exam entry is complete, answering the phone, supply inventory and other duties as assigned.
Education/Qualifications
Qualified candidates must possess a phlebotomy certification from an accredited training course, when mandated by state requirements.
Qualified candidates must possess organizational and problem-solving skills, exceptional communication, and customer service skills with a strong attention to detail. Individuals must be able to work independently and as part of a team, have good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
Candidates must possess basic computer skills. This job may require sitting for long periods of time, bending, twisting, and occasionally lifting more than 10 pounds.
