Pharmacy Technician We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Education, Training or Certifications Required: High school diploma or GED. Must hold Maine Pharmacy Technician license. National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred. If not nationally certified, must show evidence of working towards certification within 6 months of hire and obtain certification within 1 year of hire. Experience Required:
One year of hospital pharmacy experience, completion of a pharmacy technician vocational course or be a pharmacy student. Medical sciences background preferred, but not required. Pharmacy Technician background preferred, but not required.
Special Requirements:
Ability to work as a team member. Possess good communication skills. Knowledge of basic pharmacy practices and procedures. Knowledge of medications and medical supplies. Strong mathematical computation skills. Knowledge of record-keeping techniques. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Basic understanding of computer technology.
Cognitive Requirements:
Ability to perform under stress. Must be organized.
Physical Demands:
Visual acuity; necessary for computer terminals. Some occasional light lifting. Standing.
Environment:
Stress level -- moderate to high. Some noise level.
