About the Role AWS Professional Services is hiring a Senior Front-end Engineer to design, implement, and scale secure, high-performance front-end applications for enterprise customers. The role involves customer-facing solution design, front-end architecture on AWS, performance and accessibility optimization, and mentoring within ProServe engagements.
Job Description Role Senior Front-end Engineer in AWS Professional Services (ProServe) delivering scalable, secure front-end solutions for enterprise customers. Work directly with customers to design, evangelize, implement, and scale modern web applications and user experiences on AWS.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, design, and implement complex, scalable, and secure front-end applications tailored to customer requirements.
Select and configure appropriate frameworks, libraries, and architectures for specific use cases.
Develop and deploy responsive web applications; optimize performance, accessibility, and user experience at scale.
Collaborate with customer stakeholders to gather requirements, identify modernization opportunities, and propose implementation strategies.
Provide guidance on front-end best practices, design systems, compliance, and cost-efficient web technologies.
Troubleshoot issues through project delivery and ensure adherence to performance and accessibility standards.
Act as a trusted advisor on emerging front‑end technologies and mentor team members; create reusable components and prototype new approaches.
Requirements Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of professional or military experience.
5+ years of software development experience with object‑oriented languages.
5+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience.
Must be a U.S. citizen and currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in advanced technology or AWS Professional‑level certification.
Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
Experience communicating technical concepts in pre‑sales environments.
Familiarity with web services technologies such as SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, XSD, and REST.
Experience with a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns.
Experience building or integrating generative AI features (e.g., chatbots, content generation, AI‑powered UIs).
Location & Compensation
Locations listed: Arlington, VA and Herndon, VA (USA).
Base salary range: 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually (listed per location). Final compensation may include sign‑on payments and RSUs and will be determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
Notes
