Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Roving Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. This is a driving and armed post, offering the opportunity to serve with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first culture.

- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a busy retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a visible armed presence.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and document security-related incidents, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site requirements.
- Work closely with store leadership, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders when needed to support incident response and daily operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A Level III Armed Guard Card is required for Texas only.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
