About the role The Content Creator is a creative, driven member of the Harbor Breeze marketing team responsible for capturing and sharing unforgettable moments from the water. Working closely with our social media team, this role brings the Harbor Breeze experience to life across digital platforms through engaging, high-quality content that reflects our mission to GO BEYOND. Harbor Breeze Cruises — Long Beach’s premier whale watching and marine tour company for over 20 years — is seeking a passionate storyteller who thrives in a dynamic, outdoor environment and is energized by the opportunity to connect audiences with extraordinary ocean experiences. Location: Long Beach & San Pedro, CA Terms: Part-Time | Hourly | Flexible Schedule (Days, Nights, Weekends & Holidays Required) Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00 Per Hour What you\'ll do Content Capture & Creation: Capture and create compelling photo and video content across daily cruises, special events, and guest experiences that showcase the best of what Harbor Breeze has to offer. Content Strategy & Collaboration: Collaborate with the social media team to develop and execute content strategies across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and others) that drive engagement and brand awareness. Editing & Delivery: Edit and deliver high-quality, platform-optimized content in a timely manner, ensuring all visuals meet brand standards and are formatted appropriately for each channel. Creative Ideation: Identify and act on creative opportunities to showcase marine life, guest moments, and onboard experiences in ways that are authentic, engaging, and share-worthy. Trend Awareness: Stay up to date with social media trends, formats, algorithms, and best practices, proactively bringing relevant ideas to the team. Digital Presence Elevation: Contribute fresh, innovative ideas that elevate Harbor Breeze’s digital presence and position the brand as the go-to experience on the water in Southern California. Asset Management: Organize and maintain a library of photo and video assets for current and future use across marketing channels, ensuring content is properly catalogued and accessible to the team. Community Engagement Support: Support the social media team in engaging with followers, responding to comments, and building an active online community that reflects the Harbor Breeze brand voice. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management to support overall marketing, social media, and company operations. Qualifications Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and content standards across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and emerging channels. Creative mindset with a passion for visual storytelling and the ability to bring a brand to life through compelling imagery and video. Experience with photo and video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, CapCut, or comparable tools. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and adapt quickly to shifting priorities. Willingness to go above and beyond to produce standout, “unbelievable” content that surprises and delights our audience. Comfortable working outdoors and on boats in varying weather and sea conditions. Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as the event and cruise schedule requires. Portfolio or demonstrated examples of content creation work, including photo, video, or social media content (preferred). Passion for marine life, ocean conservation, or the outdoors (preferred). Enthusiasm for Harbor Breeze’s mission to deliver unforgettable ocean experiences and commitment to environmental conservation.
