The Rehabilitation Technician performs routine activities as assigned by a therapist and/or therapy assistant to support the provision of patient services and rehabilitation department operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in departmental communications as delegated
- Assisting therapy staff in identifying and removing barriers to treatment
- Attending and contributing to in-services and staff meetings
- Performing clerical duties within the department
- Observing patients for any change in status and reporting to therapists
- Adjusting equipment upon request and under the direction of the therapist
- Cleaning and maintenance of treatment areas
- Putting patient service first
- Providing simultaneous assistance to treating therapists/therapy assistants
- Assisting in scheduling, transporting and preparation of patients for rehabilitation services
- Following through with client related and non-client related tasks
- Following through with maintenance therapy programs and/or restorative nursing programs
- Performing other related duties as required
Qualifications:
1. The Rehabilitation Technician must possess a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Certification as a Nursing Assistant is also preferred (unless required by state).
Posted salary range USD $13.00 - USD $16.00 /Hr.
