We are currently seeking a reliable Box Truck Driver to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely maneuver a 26-box truck to efficiently transport goods and products to designated locations.Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure on-time deliveriesLoad and unload merchandise from the truck using appropriate equipment and techniquesVerify and confirm the accuracy of delivery orders with customersAdhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while drivingPerform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicleMaintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery receiptsCommunicate with the dispatch team and customers to provide updates on delivery statusHandle any customer inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous mannerFollow company policies and procedures regarding delivery schedules and protocols
Role Requirements:
Previous experience as a box truck or delivery driverKnowledge of local traffic laws and routesExcellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safetyAbility to handle the physical demands of loading and unloading goodsGood communication and customer service skillsBasic math skills for verifying order quantities and handling cash transactionsAttention to detail and accuracy in completing delivery paperworkAbility to work independently and follow instructionsFlexible schedule with the willingness to work occasional weekends or overtime
Physical demands:
This position requires the ability to safely operate and maneuver a 26-foot box truck for extended periods. The role involves frequent lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading of goods, which may include items of moderate to heavy weight. Candidates must be able to bend, reach, climb in and out of the truck, and use material-handling equipment as needed. The job also requires standing, walking, and performing repetitive motions throughout the workday. Drivers should be capable of completing routine vehicle inspections and handling varying weather conditions while performing deliveries.
