Position Type: Student Support Services/Ed Tech II & III Date Posted: 5/5/2026 Location: Otisfield Community School The Oxford Hills School District is seeking excellent candidates for the position of Ed tech III Resource at Otisfield Community Elementary School in Otisfield, ME.
Otisfield Community School is a PK-6 rural school nestled in the beautiful Maine woods and serves approximately 120 students. The successful candidate will work with colleagues and families to help students realize their individuality, express creativity, accept responsibility, and enjoy the process of discovery and learning. Candidates must hold a valid Ed Tech III certificate. Reports to: Building Principal Terms of Employment School Year 178 day position - Hourly rate from $19.93 - $29.84 per hour dependent on experience; position is under the Oxford Hills Educational Associaiton Unit for Ed Techs IIs & IIIs which can be viewed here. MSAD #17 offers a robust employee benefits package for full-time employees, including: health insurance with 80% of the premium paid by the employer (with up to 100% if both spouses work in the district); dental, vision, Group Life Insurance; flexible spending and dependent care accounts; Maine Public Employee Pension, 403(b) retirement plan eligibility; 15 paid sick days per year; and tuition reimbursement. OXFORD HILLS REGION The Oxford Hills School District (MSAD 17) comprises the towns of Norway, South Paris, West Paris, Oxford, Waterford, Harrison, Hebron and Otisfield. MSAD 17 shares vocational resources and accepts students in its Oxford Hills Technical School programs from the RSU10 School District towns of Buckfield, Hartford and Sumner. Oxford Hills/Nezinscot Adult Education is located within the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. The Oxford Hills offer a variety of outdoor resources for anyone wishing to enjoy the region, whatever the season. The area boasts more than ten lakes and ponds for outdoor recreation, a land trust with hundreds of acres for skiing, snowshoeing, and is in close proximity to several downhill skiing areas! Community support for Oxford Hills athletics and extracurricular activities is very strong and represents the robust regional commitment to the students and schools within the district. Instilling problem-solving and critical thinking as a "new basics" for learning across all grade levels; Delivering strong literacy instruction across content areas; Helping student develop skills to apply, interpret, analyze, and evaluate the vast, ever-expanding amount of information; Employing effective lesson design by adjusting to students' personal learning needs and preferences, including appropriate technology applications.
