What You'll Do
Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vitals, and patient assessments Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from intake through discharge Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection Obtain high-quality radiographs and maintain imaging standards Run in-house laboratory testing including CBCs, chemistry panels, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal testing Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals during procedures while maintaining accurate records Practice Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques Educate clients regarding medications, discharge instructions, preventive care, and treatment plans Maintain clean, stocked treatment and exam areas while following infection-control protocols Collaborate with the team to maintain efficient workflows and exceptional patient care Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
