Role Description The NetSuite Solutions Engineer sits at the intersection of technology, operations, and customer success. Acting as both a trusted advisor and hands‑on builder, this role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting integrations between NetSuite and the broader e‑commerce ecosystem, including storefronts, payment processors, 3PLs, and marketplaces.
We’re looking for someone who combines deep NetSuite expertise with a builder’s mentality and a consultative approach. You’re just as comfortable leading discovery sessions and architecting solutions as you are diving into integrations, troubleshooting issues, and rolling up your sleeves to get things done.
This role works closely with merchants, product managers, engineers, and operations leaders, requiring strong communication skills, technical curiosity, and the ability to keep projects moving across both technical and non‑technical teams. If you enjoy solving problems, simplifying complexity, and helping fast‑growing brands scale, you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Do Key Responsibilities
Leads discovery sessions with merchant partners and internal stakeholders to capture requirements and architect scalable NetSuite solutions aligned with their business processes.
Designs, builds, and maintains integrations between NetSuite and third‑party platforms (storefronts, payment processors, 3PLs, marketplaces, ERPs) using REST/SOAP APIs, iPaaS tools, and custom SuiteScripts.
Configures and optimizes NetSuite modules including Order Management, Inventory, Financials, and WMS to support e‑commerce workflows and operational goals.
Owns the full solution lifecycle — from requirements gathering and solution design through UAT, deployment, and post‑launch hypercare.
Serves as the primary technical point of contact for key customer accounts, communicating clearly and credibly across both business and engineering audiences.
Collaborates with product and engineering teams to surface customer insights, elevate systemic issues, and inform the platform roadmap.
Identifies and implements opportunities to leverage AI tooling to automate workflows, surface operational insights, and enhance the merchant experience.
Contributes to internal playbooks, integration templates, and solution documentation to accelerate team delivery and ensure consistency.
Partners with pre‑sales and account management to scope new opportunities, deliver technical demonstrations, and support the customer onboarding process.
What You’ll Have To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
3+ years of hands‑on NetSuite implementation experience, including SuiteScript 2.x (client, server, scheduled, and map/reduce scripts).
Proficiency with SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk, and SuiteAnalytics, including saved searches, custom records, and advanced reporting configurations.
Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, with exposure to iPaaS platforms such as Celigo, Boomi, or MuleSoft.
Ability to translate complex business requirements into functional solution specifications, with strong analytical and problem‑solving instincts.
Proven track record managing enterprise client relationships and leading technical discovery workshops, demos, and solution reviews.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Practical fluency with AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot) to accelerate analysis, documentation, workflow design, or data transformation.
Ability to scope and estimate solution complexity accurately, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast‑moving, ambiguous environment.
Understanding of core financial and operational business processes, including order‑to‑cash, procure‑to‑pay, and inventory management lifecycles.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 3 years of NetSuite implementation or administration experience required; 5+ years strongly preferred.
NetSuite Administrator or ERP Consultant certification is a strong plus.
E‑commerce industry experience (Shopify, BigCommerce, Amazon, or similar platforms) preferred but not required.
Exposure to OMS, WMS, or 3PL integration patterns in a D2C or B2B e‑commerce context is a meaningful differentiator.
Experience in a customer‑facing technical role such as solutions engineering, technical consulting, or technical account management is highly valued.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Sitting for extended periods of time, including, without limitation, in office settings and during air or ground travel (up to 20% travel may be required for customer engagements).
Computer use, with or without adaptable software.
