Role Responsibilities
Conduct assessments for patients of all ages, utilizing both standardized measures and observational methods. Create tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Engage in individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges. Work in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to devise comprehensive care approaches. Provide education to both patients and their families to promote progress outside of therapy sessions. Assist with inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions when required, ensuring seamless transitions in care. Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with applicable state, federal, and company standards. Commit to ongoing learning and professional development through education and peer interactions. Education and Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications Required
Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting employment. Essential Skills
