As a Crutchfield Sales Advisor you will:

  • Engage our customers with an open, interested, and honest rapport about their project and the solutions we offer - no cold calls, just genuine conversations.
  • Ask questions to uncover a customer's needs, offer a recommendation for the best solution, and make purchasing quick and easy.
  • Offer any accessories to provide a better out-of-the-box experience for the customer and their project.
  • Collect and provide all appropriate information, using our point-of-sale computer applications.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for customer service and exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn consumer electronics through on-the-job training
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through phone, email, and chat
  • Ability to work a consistent schedule that includes some evening shifts (up to 8 PM) and some weekend shifts (every other weekend or one day per weekend)
  • Previous sales, customer service, retail, restaurant and/or consumer electronics experience is preferred, but not required

Training:

Don't worry if you don't know everything about electronics, we provide all the training needed for the job. Every new team of Advisors gets three months of paid, hands-on training with an experienced instructor before working with customers on their own. Our next training class is scheduled to begin on July 20th, 2026.

Salary and Benefits:

Between our competitive base hourly rate of $20.16 and sales incentives, the average income of experienced Advisors is $55,000/year with an opportunity to earn significantly more. This full-time position comes with a comprehensive benefit package including two health insurance plans to choose from along with dental and vision insurance plan options. We also offer a competitive wellness program, tuition reimbursement, 401K retirement plan, relaxed dress code, and discounts on the fun stuff we sell. You're even allowed to bring your dog to work! Onsite and Remote Work:

Our new Advisors will be trained onsite in Norton, VA, but after training you will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule which allows 2 days working remotely within the Commonwealth of Virginia and 3 days working onsite per week.
