Description of Responsibilities
Conduct a wide array of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, clearly explaining each phase with empathy Work in tandem with radiologists and referring physicians to secure high-quality diagnostic outputs Manage and uphold imaging equipment, ensuring issues are reported immediately Document procedures accurately while maintaining patient records within an electronic health system Stay informed on the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices Education Requirements
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred Certifications Required
Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent certification BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is highly desirable Skills Needed
Strong technical competence in sonographic imaging procedures and patient positioning Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Able to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Comfortable in a fast-paced setting, prioritizing a patient-centered approach Benefits Overview
