Service Coordinator Precision Heating Ltd About the Role Precision Heating Ltd is a well-established and continually growing specialist provider of Heating, Ventilation and Renewable Energy Systems, operating across Ireland. We are the authorised agents for Viessmann in Ireland, responsible for the supply, technical support, servicing, and warranty of Viessmann products across the market. We work with high-quality commercial and domestic systems including gas and oil boilers, heat pumps, solar thermal, photovoltaic (PV) systems, and ventilation. We are now seeking a Service Coordinator to take ownership of our reactive service scheduling and day-to-day service operations. This is a hands-on operational role, not a purely administrative position. You will be responsible for coordinating multiple field engineers, managing a high volume of service activity, and making real-time operational decisions to keep our service function running efficiently. While prior experience in a similar role is desirable, full in-house training will be provided. We are happy to support and develop the right candidate who shows initiative, sound judgement, and the right attitude. If you are not comfortable making decisions under pressure or taking ownership, this role will not be the right fit. What Youll Be Responsible For Scheduling and dispatching field engineers to reactive service and breakdown calls Managing a high volume of incoming service jobs and prioritising effectively Making real-time decisions when challenges arise (delays, emergencies, breakdowns, rescheduling) Ensuring engineers are fully utilised with minimal downtime Continuously reviewing and adjusting schedules to improve efficiency and response times Handling inbound service calls in a calm, professional, and reassuring manner, particularly during breakdown or urgent situations Communicating clearly and effectively with engineers, customers, and internal teams Overseeing service engineers van stock levels and coordinating replenishment to ensure engineers are properly equipped for daily service work Taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the service operation We are looking for someone who: Is confident, or developing confidence, in making sound judgement calls Can remain calm and organised when dealing with competing priorities Thinks ahead and acts proactively rather than reacting late Is comfortable taking responsibility and accountability for outcomes Can challenge situations when needed and apply practical problem-solving Can communicate confidently with customers in a clear, polite, and reassuring manner Has strong organisational, communication, and coordination skills Experience & Training Experience in a scheduling, coordination, logistics, or service-based role is beneficial but not essential Experience in heating, HVAC, construction, facilities management, or a technical service environment is a strong advantage Familiarity with service or job management systems (e.g. Joblogic or similar) is beneficial Comprehensive on-the-job and in-house training will be provided, with ongoing support from experienced technical and service teams Motivated candidates with the right mindset and willingness to learn are strongly encouraged to apply, even if they do not meet every experience requirement.
