Jenn Dinan at Wallace Myers is recruiting 2 X Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) Engineers to work on contract at our Global Biopharma client's site in Waterford. Contact Jenn Dinan on or email Duration: 12-Month Initial Contract (2 x openings available) Rate: €45 €50 per hour (Dependent on experience) To start ASAP Location: Primarily on-site Working Hours: Standard business hours, with flexibility required to support project activities and key milestones. Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) Engineer Position Overview We are currently seeking two contract C&Q Engineers to support a major capital expenditure (CAPEX) project within a tier-one pharmaceutical facility. These 12-month contract positions are scheduled to start on 1st July 2026 and will require standard day-shift hours, with occasional operational flexibility to meet critical project milestones. The successful candidates will be responsible for executing qualification lifecycle activities across both clean utilities infrastructure and analytical laboratory environments. Primary Responsibilities & Core Competencies System Qualification: Hands-on delivery of the qualification lifecycle (DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ) for a variety of complex manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and laboratory instruments. Compliance & GMP Documentation: Ensuring all activities strictly align with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and corporate validation master plans. Technical Protocols: Drafting, reviewing, and executing robust testing protocols to ensure seamless handovers during the CAPEX delivery phase. Desirable Experience Familiarity with laboratory systems qualification workflows and software compliance. Prior experience validating thermal sterilization equipment (Autoclaves is a distinct advantage). Commissioning background relating to Clean Utilities systems, including Water for Injection (WFI), Purified Water (PW), Clean Steam, and process-critical gases. Candidate Requirements A formal degree or equivalent higher qualification in an Engineering, Life Sciences, or closely related technical discipline. Proven track record working in a dedicated Validation, C&Q, or Technical Engineering capacity within a highly regulated biotechnology or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Comprehensive knowledge of global GMP standards and data integrity guidelines.
