If you are a technically strong, organized, confident, experienced, energetic multi-tasker with business savvy and conceptual thinking skills, then you will find a rewarding and satisfying home with Avo Photonics. This position will report directly to the Director of Engineering.
*Specifically:*
* Ensure the customer’s requirements are captured and the development effort is fully defined.
* Continuously review the optical, mechanical, and system level design progress and redirect as needed to efficiently derive a product design that meets or exceeds the customer requirements as well as the highest standards for innovation, quality, and manufacturability.
* Prepare and present periodic status updates to customers.
* Ensure deliverables are on track and update customer on any schedule changes.
* Ensure profitability of each assigned program throughout its life cycle from development through full scale production.
* Prepare cost models and quotes for existing and new clients.
* Identify new development opportunities with existing customers during regular customer meetings and with new customers at trade shows.
*Requirements:*
* M.Sc. or higher in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related technical field
* 5 years of Program/Project Management or System Engineering experience in Photonics
* Deep understanding of optical component assembly / packaging processes
* High attention to detail, personable, social harmonizer, integrated planner, able to resolve conflicts, motivated, willing to take initiative
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
* US citizen or permanent resident
