Job Description Dunnes Stores is Ireland's leading retailer positioned at the cutting edge of food and fashion retailing. We have over 130 stores throughout Ireland, Northern Ireland and Spain and we are expanding our service and product offering all the time. Dunnes Stores is seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join its personal injury team at its Dublin head office. The role entails managing a caseload of claims in conjunction with our claims management team and our defence solicitor panel. As a Claims Handler, you will have the following responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of claims Review every claim expressing your opinion on quantum, tactics and liability. Ensure that each claim has undergone a thorough and forensic investigation Follow through on all/any outstanding matters Liaise directly with co-respondents/co-defendants to obtain all appropriate indemnities Instruct when necessary third party service providers Feedback to our Health and Safety team any potential hazards identified in the workplace to ensure you promote a culture of continuous improvement Requirements: Minimum of 5 years' experience of claim management An understanding of the underlying legal principles CIP qualification is essential Excellent attention to detail An understanding of the commercial context for the work Experience of handling high volumes of claims Exceptional organisational ability Ability to prioritise the caseload and work under pressure Ability to work on own initiative but also work as part of a team Strong IT skills with experience If this sounds like the job for you, please apply now and tell us why you would be perfect for this challenging and rewarding role.
